  3. Where is that verse that says, "God loves you and so do I?"

    Oh, and where is that other one that says, "God loves you and has a wonderful plan for your life?"

    I know I've read those somewhere but I can't seem to find them.

    What if God's plan for your life isn't wonderful? Just wondered!

  4. @ Ralph Petersen

    The first is in the margin of the Robert Schuller "Self Esteem" Bible, next to John 3:36.

    The second is inserted after Acts 9:16 in the Campus Crusade "Sharing Jesus" Bible (1975 edition)

  6. Hello, children! Welcome to Uncle Meo's Bible factory! Here, we take out all the nasty verses before we print our Bibles, or we edit them to make them funny! Here is our version of Psalms 5:5...

    (Psalms 5:5 RNV*) - "The boastful shall not stand in Your Sight; You hate all workers of iniquity. Haha! Just kidding!"

    After all, kids, God has a sense of humor! Hahahaha! Ha!

    * Really Nice Version.

    Coincidentally, we - umm, I mean, He - takes this same approach in Romans 9...And in several - well, more than several - other places! Isn't that nice, children?!

  8. "After some days Felix came with his wife Drusilla, who was Jewish, and he sent for Paul and heard him speak about faith in Christ Jesus. 25And as he reasoned about righteousness and self-control and the coming judgment, Felix was alarmed and said, "Go away for the present. When I get an opportunity I will summon you."" Acts 24:24,25

    My, My, My....

  9. Shhhh.... Someone might actually get convicted by the TRUTH rather than by hyped-up sentimentalism.

  10. It may not be said in acts, but John and Paul both talk about love quite a bit. 1 John 4:7-8: Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God and he who loves is born of God and knows God. He who does not love does not know God for GOD IS LOVE.

    The difference is, this is agape love which is all action and not emotion and actually does require God to send people to hell for justice to be done. God can't not love. It's us that need to love him first and others second.
