  1. Yes, and why eat? Leave that to the chefs! Why brush your teeth? Leave it to the dentists! Why bother being a decent parent? Leave that to the government! Crazy non-Bereans...

  2. That would save a lot of time. Hey, why breath anymore, they have machines that do that.

  5. "And it's not like I don't read the scriptures. I read Your Best Life Now, and that has Bible references in it. I like the way Joel explains things."

  6. I didn't write a book called Your Best Life Now!

  8. It WAS funny. I had the guy in the chair saying that Joel did 2 things: 1.He wrote a book. 2. He explained things.

Oh, no! Now I am explaining my joke, breaking one of the cardinal rules of jokesters.

  10. @Stranger: Oops, apologies. Misunderstanding...

  11. Yeah, that was fun.

But Joel, maybe you and I should rehearse our comment page banter off site before unleashining it onto the ever so discerning readers of Calvinistic Cartoons.

Do you think that's a good idea?

    Hmmm? Neither do I.

  12. @Michael Wright

I don't know Michael, dealing with the joke nazis is not for the faint of heart. They make the Spanish Inquisition look like Girl Scouts.

And NO Spanish Inquisitor wants to be seen wearing a green dress and a beret.

I don't want to see it either. The mental image is bad enough.
