  3. Overheard on lifeboat: I hope we can make it to Southern California in time for Easter... I'd hate to miss the Jonas Brothers at Rick Warren's secular Easter show.

Q: Exactly when did Israel become the Church?

Q: Exactly when in history did
Jesus sit on the Throne in Jerusalem for 1000 years?

Q: Where does the Bible say that it is more important to be missional than doctrinal?

  9. I am trying to find the significance of 1555. Calvin was born in 1509 and died in 1564 so those dates don't relate to 1555. The Institutes were finalized in 1559

Geneva did give the right to excommunicate sinners from the church in 1555 AD making it an important change in city government

  10. Gregg, 1555 was the year Calvin ate his very first waffle with syrup.

  11. Was this delightful treat a daily ritual or did he partake on Mar 25, VĂ„ffeldagen (waffle day)?

  12. I'm not sure...but, on pages 142 through 154 of the original Institutes, there are syrup stains.

None. Moses wasn't on the ark. He hadn't been born yet. :)
