If you enjoyed anything in these four thousand and thirty five posts, please take the time to leave a comment or two. Corky probably could use the encouragement.
Looks like we're having a case of Raptor. Thanks for putting the time into this blog. It was fun to read, but it sure looked like a lot of work. It's hard to keep anything going daily, much more something worthwhile. Let us know if you startup something new, perhaps somewhere else.
Thanks for putting in the time. Sad to see you go. It's a tribute to the blog that I will doubtless check back from time to time to see if you've changed your mind.
CC was instrumental in recovering my sense of humor during a very tough trial. Humor is gift that can encourage the body of Christ, and you have used your gift well. Some of your posts are quoted on a regular basis in our household, so they live on in posterity. :)
Thanks so much and God bless you, Eddie! And Corky, Baklava Couscous, Bagpipes Magee, Cotton Adams, and the whole CC gang!
To paraphrase the immortal words of Lina Lamont, thank you for bringing a little joy into our humdrum lives, your hard work ain't been in vain for nothing. And it’s good to know someone else who has a love for reformed theology and comic books.
I followed your blog on and off over the years. I would say I was really blessed with it over the years and especially this last year. Sometimes that blessing means a laugh, other times a thought and other times a free book you called attention to!
Awwwww.... I am going to miss CC. Recommended you to a few folks and now you are shutting dwon? First, it was Truthinator's blog and now you... Aw... men
Trick or no, I have been enjoying looking through your past posts (I am a recent discoverer of CC). They are intelligent, humorous, and way better than anything I could have done.
Eddie, I have always loved your posts whether I actually commented on them or not. Will miss seeing CC in my news feed every day. God bless you, brother!
I've been a faithful reader (and unfaithful commenter) for a few years now, I hope you're not really closing shop, but if you are I want to say thanks!
But I'll miss you. I visit almost every day but I don't always feel up to leaving a comment. Where else can I find the latest edition of SolaBootstrapa?
Thank you for the truth in the form of humor for so many years. You have been a blessing to myself and many. Blessings, grace and peace to you in wherever/whatever the Lord is leading you!
Calvinistic Cartoons, for me, has pretty much been the Number 1 theological humor blog. I may not comment very much, but I enjoy the blog a lot, and even when I don't have time to read it for awhile, I always make sure to catch up on everything afterward so I don't miss any posts. Your sense of humor is very funny, Eddie, and this blog has given me many good, hard laughs. I'm sorry to see the blog come to an end! :( Thank you so much for all the great humor!! God bless you!
Calvinistic Cartoons, from here to eternity, will always be a blessed memory in my mind. Also, it's not over yet, and you'll be able to continue it in eternity, so here's to the future, too. :-)
(Sorry for my absence...I'm still severely chronically ill. Need your prayers. Will try to drop in regularly.)
I am presently in Garland, Texas visiting with family. After the 4th, my wife and I head to Savannah, Georgia to visit her brother. Then we head down to Houston to visit my mom and sisters. Then back to Dallas for a few days then off to Kuwait. You probably have seen the reports about Isis and the bombing of the mosque. Pray that the churches there will be safe. Check my blog on August 1st for an important update. Thanks, brother, for your comments and concern.
Eddie- I have so enjoyed your blog over the years. I've even heard my husband, who doesn't read blogs and can barely figure out how to check his sports scores, mention Corky in conversations. - A real tribute your ingenuity. Ha!
ps. One of your posts ,"45 Things Which God Hates", which you generously gave me permission to use years ago continues to be very popular. Thought that might encourage you. :)
I wanted to let you know that Calvinistic.com is being auctioned off over the next 3 days in case you might be interested. There are 1,250 people each month searching for "Calvinistic" on the internet. You can view the auction at http://cax.com/calvinistic.com
There is only a $100 reserve and also a $200 "buy it now" option if you want to beat out the other bidders.
Thank you for all the hours of fun and laughter! I've thoroughly enjoyed many of your posts. You will be missed!!!
ReplyDeletesuch a shame.

ReplyDeleteWhat's this? I noticed that your signature and Corky's seem to be written by the same hand. Could it be...
ReplyDeleteYou are going to be missed, my friend.
ReplyDeleteHey, wait a minute! This must be some sort of trick! It isn't February 22, 2022...

Hate to see you go, but thank you for doing us the courtesy of saying "goodbye" unlike the walkaways who never express a by-your-leave.

ReplyDeleteLove your sense of humor Corky!
ReplyDeleteWell this is all fine and dandy, but until I hear the you know who sing (not to offend any large people) I’m not feeling it!
ReplyDeleteAs Yogi Berra once said “it ain’t over till its over” So until its over, “it ain’t over”.
Unless its over! Then in that case, see you on the flip side Brother or sooner.
Humphrey and I are beside ourselves. You are one of our favorite neighbors to visit!
ReplyDeleteYeah, I keep checking in, just to make sure you didn't change your mind. I'll probably keep looking for a few months, just to be absolutely sure.

Wait...Is it over?
Joel,
DeleteI don't know you, but I know your name from CC. Sorry to hear of your illness. I'll lift you up to the Lord, brother.
Thanks a ton, Jim. God bless you and yours.
DeleteI'll pray for you as well. And I hope that anyone reading this, will stop and take a moment to send up a prayer for your recovery.
DeleteThanks, Eddie. I hope you'll open your Facebook profile back up so we can at least stay in contact through that.
DeleteSuch a shame. Thabk you for all the time, all the heart and all the laughs.
ReplyDeleteSo, I guess you really meant it this time. It's been a month and no new posts. You haven't posted on FB since FEB either. Hope everything is okay.

Thanks for the info, but if I had any extra money I would spend it on books.
