Somehow I missed this story. I just Googled it and cringed when the ABC reporter said Robertson has been "preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ for 50 years."
Romans 2:24 and II Timothy 3:2-5 come immediately to mind.
So he doesn't believe in divorce, just borrowing the definition of "death" from another context and misapplying it to marriage. I suppose he also believes that "one flesh" business is also figurative? I doubt it.

How very pitiful and sad.
It looks like Robertson does not know how serious the marriage covenant is. What he said is totally contrary to what Christ would have us do...
ReplyDeleteI'm glad Jesus doesn't divorce His bride.
