  1. Years after his death, Susannah would still long for her husband, CHS, all the while thanking the Lord that He had let her have him for so long.

Sorry it's not funny and so serious, but that's what immediately came to mind the moment I saw this picture.

  2. Eddie once kindly gifted me a frame picture of C.H. Spurgeon as a young man, as well as, one of D.L. Moody in his prime. He said that they had once belonged to a church who was going to through them out because they were under the impression that these pictures of men who had once attended that church of whom no one remembered any longer.

  4. Mike, I honestly forgotten to whom I had given those framed pictures. I am glad it was you! I had given so much away to so many different Christians. Many of whom I met for the first time. It is a sad testimony to these user-friendly churches that they forget the past and only focus on the "contemporary".

Mitzi Pollywoggle picked up the painting of Spurgeon and noticed something underneath the paint. After four hours of scraping the surface paint she discovered the picture of Dorian Gray.

    SNEERS FOR EARS #1

Patrica Savage noticed that the man in the painting had odd shaped ears. She decided to paint them to look like Mr. Spock's.

  14. Living in Arminiaville could be difficult for a Calvinist Family. However, Fanny looked forward to Halloween when it was acceptable, even expected, to scare your neighbors. She knew this portrait of Spurgeon worked great year after year.
