Here is a story you might find amusing -- I discovered a new book by Jeffery L. Sheler, "Prophet of Purpose - the Life of Rick Warren" on line. I copied the cover from the ad from Doubleday Religion, a division of Random House and Photoshopped the parody you see posted. It wasn't 30 minutes later someone from Random House was viewing my entry. I was checking my Sitemeter under Recent Visitors by Refferral and discovered that they were ONLY viewing THAT specific page. Needless to say, but I'm going to say it anyway, I was a bit nervous. They had to have some sort of tracking mechanism embedded in the book cover. I checked my gmail to see if I had a "Cease and Desist" letter, but nothing came. Later an "unknown" viewer was checking out the same post and I discovered it was the actual author himself, Jeffery L. Sheler!Thank God, he had a good sense of humor. This is what he posted on his Twitter""An amusing parody. The price of notoriety? Protestant Pontiff on Purpose: The Life of Rick Warren http://bit.ly/8s1mTF 12:38 PM Dec 4th from TweetDeck" Thanks Jeffery for not turning me in to the Arminian Bureau of Investigation!
