While Calvinistic Cartoon fan, Aberdeen Candun was reading our blog yesterday, he remembered an old comic book he had stored away in the attic back in 1988.. To his surprise, on the inside back cover, he found the words, "Spurgeon will run into Jack the Ripper outside the Metropolitan Tabernacle on March 13th, 1888 at 8 P.M... Tell Holmes to stop the encounter at any cost."

Dear Eddie and Corky,
   I found this old Polaroid photograph in an old trunk that belonged to my dad. There was a note taped to the back that read, "Went to a press conference today and met a young man named Corky Velveeta. We talked for less than twenty minutes, but he really got me thinking about God and the Bible. He gave me a book by A. W. Pink on the Sovereignty of God. I started reading it when I got home. I can't put it down. It is changing my perspective on everything!"

Thanks, Johnny, for sending a photo of the town newspaper. Corky explained the incident to me years ago. Corky had traveled back in time to this old abandoned house, just outside of Mayberry, where his great grandparents had once lived. Corky had  bumped into one of the rotten beams and the roof caved in on him leaving him trapped beneath shingles, lumber and an old suitcase that had been in the attic. Deputy Barney Fife had just turned the corner when he heard the crash. When Fife investigated the scene he spotted Corky and pulled him to safety before the rest of the house collapsed. Corky got his suitcase full of old letters and photos and Deputy Fife was declared a hero.

Doc Savage Paperback Cover

A shout out to Mr. Noah Lott for sending us this old Doc Savage paperback. I remember reading this when I was a teenager. Never realized at the time that Corky was featured in the James Bama painting. Live and learn.

It doesn't make sense unless it's a teaser for an upcoming play or movie. Which reminds me...there are three movies about Tesla in the making. One should be out in October of this year, and the other two are scheduled for 2015.

Dear Mr. Eddings,
I came across this old photo of Fred Astaire. It was in an old trunk my mother kept in her attic. As you can see, she snapped this picture as Fred was leaving Boston and heading back to Hollywood. My late mother met Mr. Astaire at an art auction where he purchased this painting of Nikola Tesla and you, Mr. Eddings. My mother told me that Fred would just sit and Astaire at that painting for hours. 
I am puzzled as to how you are featured in this oil painting. You are either much older than you appear or you are a time traveler. Either way, I wanted to send this to you Fed-Ex so you could post it on your blog.
