  1. Noting the change from Win Mortimer to Craig Flessel prompted me to look up Flessel's bio on wikipedia and learn more about a US comic book art pioneer.
    I always tell folk I was away from college the day they had the lectures on flower rosters.

  3. It's interesting how the idea of gender roles has played out throughout history. It wasn't too many years before this that gardeners/florists would easily have been men. Even today we have men who are cooks and chefs, tailors, etc., that were considered 60 years ago to be "women's work", but 100 years ago to be men's work also.
