  3. @ Kansas Bob:

Sounds like there needs to be a sequel called "The goats who stare at a man"

  5. The problem with goats is that they always try to butt heads with you.

  6. Goats are known for being happy to feed on any old rubbish, are they not?

  7. Rubbish describes this slap-happy content of much of the preaching today.

  8. From William Still, 20th Century Church of Scotland minister: "The pastor is called to feed the sheep, even if the sheep don't want to be fed. He is certainly not to become an entertainer of goats. Let goats entertain goats, and let them do it in goatland. You will certainly not turn goats into sheep by pandering to their goatishness."!!!
Sounds all rather reminiscent of Spurgeon's "Feeding sheep or Amusing goats" - Or was it Archibald Brown?

  9. I absolutely LOVE that quote!

...I'll have to use it sometime in my Facets of Grace blog.
