Dude, I can't even stand alleged Christian leadership books that are sprinkled with some Christianese and basically "baptize" secular leadership principle. I was listening to an audio book of one last year and critically reviewed it here: http://veritasdomain.wordpress.com/2016/01/02/audiobooks-slimjim-went-through-in-2015/
I like Strauch's book on Biblical Eldership. I also enjoyed MacArthur's book on leadership which I read some time ago (name escapes me at the moment) and Oswald Chamber's Spiritual Leadership. Pretty basic I know, but they were helpful to myself personally. But then again, it might because I normally don't go seeking out books on leadership but instead on theology and holiness.
Chamber's book is a classic! You can't read a page without the conviction that God is performing spiritual surgery on your heart and mind! Should be read frequently!

ReplyDeleteTrue. Anytime Christians depart from Biblical truth they fail...big time!
ReplyDeleteWhile we are on the subject, my favorite book is Biblical Eldership by Alexander Strauch.
ReplyDeleteDo you have a few to which you could refer the readers?

ReplyDeleteMy mistake. I was thinking of Spiritual Leadership by J. Oswald Sanders.
ReplyDeleteWhoops my mistake, that's the one I was thinking of!
