Trouble Makers

If you don't want to be upset by ranting atheists,
It's in the comments where they show their true colors.

My Ties with the Syndicate

I have attempted to publish a comic strip with the syndicates four times. One strip was named "Writer's Block", one was locally syndicated for a while in the Austin Statesman newpaper entitled, "Silent Partners". That lasted six months. Another comic strip was called, "Epistle and Apostle". The strip above was called, "Sweet Tater McSpoon", and was nearly picked up by King Features. It came down to two they were willing to back and I lost. (I don't know the name of the other strip - they never told me)
Just thought I would throw some of my past junk onto this blog ever once in a while...it helps when you are scraping the barrel for ideas. This was the first one.

Leave Your Tracts Behind

Here is the front page and opening pages of another tract I did several years ago that is still available from Good News Publishers:

I get no royalties from this - I was paid outright for my work.
This is for evangelism purposes. Please keep plenty of tracts on hand, in the car, by the door of your home, in your wallet or purse, in your Bible, or use as bookmarks in some other book. Planting these seeds of Truth can be rewarding in more ways than one. Take some time and plant some tracts at the public library. Find a row of books (maybe pick a certain subject that could use some tracts, like teen fiction or witchcraft) place a stack of tracts on a shelf, then open each book on your row and stick a tract inside. It's that easy!
Anyone have more ideas for sowing some gospel seeds? ...or what to say when giving a tract to someone?

Eddie Receives the Taco Bell Peace Prize

I was very honored today to have the Taco Bell Peace Prize given to me by the United Nations Ambassador, Salvador Conchacha, who dropped by with a film crew from his visit to Dubai. His told me that Calvinistic Cartoons has brought peace to five acres of land, somewhere in the jungles of Ecuador. He seemed like a nice man, but I noticed that after he left my home, my wallet was missing.

My mistake, my wallet had fallen behind the sofa.

Lesson to be Learned

When Corky met Spielberg

I didn't realize that Corky had appeared in Stephen Spielberg's War of the Worlds until Corky pointed himself out as we watched the film. Since he was on for about a second, you probably missed his performance as well. It will help if you click on the photo to enlarge it. He received a Golden Grenade award for most unusual extra on a movie set.

Blog Goal

Probably the fastest growing Christian blog in the entire Blogospere (located in middle cyber-space) is the Old Geezer blog, with 718 members to date. (not that he dates each member - he has been married quite a while). I would personally hand him a golden trophy but, (1) it's too expensive and (2) I live too far away (Kuwait). So unless someone knows of a faster expanding blog...congrats Ron! You have created a very popular blog (and created a lot of new friends).
My personal goal for my own blog is to reach 207 followers before the year 2012. (I try and make it easy on myself because I am continuing to age 60 minutes per hour)
The ULTIMATE GOAL for any Christian blogger should be to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ. I hope along the way, you will stop and send up a praise to the One who was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, was crucified, buried, and rose from the dead. He will return like He promised...and we are closer today than we were yesterday.

Guess Who #20

Clue: When he became a Christian he always shot from the hip.
And truth was preached as people were drawn.

Off the Map!

Corky Velveeta needs to journey a little closer to home!

Limerick of the Slain

Slay to Prey by Eddie Eddings
There once was a man named Wayne,
Whose spirit at a revival was slain.
As he was a shakin',
His wallet was taken,
When he awoke he was on a freight train!

Just for Laughs #105

I don't like to harp on this but, we need a
caption...no strings attached.

Guess Who #17

Clue: This photo was taken before Christ came into his life.
