Captain America as seen in Kuwait

As always, American films go through an editing process before they are released in the Middle East. The above poster indicates a few changes made. It's almost a completely different film. It's amazing what they can do with computer graphics these days. The Romans 9 grenade got through the censors because they thought it was a code name for S.H.I.E.L.D.

Fan Photo of Classic Comic

A special thanks to Kafka McMillan for sending this iPhone image of an old comic book he recently purchased. This Classic Illustrated of the Time Machine by H. G. Wells was one I remembered reading for a book report in the fifth grade. Instead of reading the actual novel, I read the comic and got a pretty good grade if I recall. A check for $7,000 is on it's way brother McMillan. I hope you can use the money!

Life in Kuwait #2

Another place just a mile or so down the road from where I live in Salmiya. My wife, Mary, and I eat here frequently before shopping at Sultan Center. KFC is very popular here...and it doesn't stand for Kuwait Fried Chicken. It's still Kentucky. Notice any other familiar American places?

Life in Kuwait #1

This structure is less than a mile from my apartment in Salmiya, Kuwait. I plan on sharing a few photos, now and then, of Kuwait. This is on the waterfront, and you can see Kuwait City in the background. I pass this piece of architecture almost every single day.

An Occurrence At Owl Creek Beach

"Witness if you will, two time-travelers, one wearing a space helmet and an orange jump suit, and the other a costume, not unlike a large grenade. Meet Freddie and Dorky, two men who use two different methods of time travel. The time, somewhere between creation and Armageddon. Freddie doesn't yet realize that his time-traveling vehicle is about to shift into auto-pilot and head far into the distant past. It will be up to Dorky to find it and bring it back to this location before Freddie dies from the sting of a giant creature he has yet to discover. For beyond the ridge there is a signpost. A signpost that reads, Welcome to the Twilight Zone."

Photo Synthesis

Before I finish wrapping it up, (Look to Friday, April 5 for the announcement - I will be vacationing in Oman at that time) I want to include these two photos taken a few weeks ago. I have had no opportunity, until now, to post these. I was waiting for at least four more to develop, but these will have to do. Time is running out and I wanted to include these under some bigger category. That didn't happen. So here are the raw photographs, warts and all.

Above, I am being attacked by a fire-breathing dragon on the way to a Sovereign Grace Bible Conference.
Pictured below is Corky Velveeta on the top of the AccuWeather Building in Thunder City, Missouri. (Note the real-time 100% accurate billboard) If you look carefully, you will see Herbie Popnecker in the photo as well.
