Another place just a mile or so down the road from where I live in Salmiya. My wife, Mary, and I eat here frequently before shopping at Sultan Center. KFC is very popular here...and it doesn't stand for Kuwait Fried Chicken. It's still Kentucky. Notice any other familiar American places?

Eddie's Advice Column #2

Dear Eddie,
In your "Restaurant" post you mentioned "vomit". That is just too disgusting for a Christian blog. What's wrong with you? Do you think that's funny or something? Aren't you supposed to be an example to our youth and the people who work in finance? You make me sick with your moronic humor. Even if the Bible mentions "vomit" I don't think YOU should bring it up! I didn't mean that last statement as a pun...I just couldn't contain myself. You spew this kind of mess and expect ME to become a follower? I wouldn't follow you if you were going to Jack in the Box for a free spicy chicken sandwich and a coke!

Dear Myrtle,
Why the dramamine? I can't please everyone y'know! I throw up my hands! ...and you know how painful THAT can be. My advice to you is to cut down on the caffeine and relax a little. Then eat an entire box of Ho-Ho's and a bowl of spinach. Jog in place for fifteen minutes...who knows what will come up after that.

A Testimony to God's Saving Grace

My B.C. years were pocked with sin and grief.
I did all I could to fulfill my carnal ambitions. Thinking I would always earn a living as a musician, I dropped out of high school to devote myself to sex, drugs and rock n' roll. Getting high was my top priority. I was jailed eventually, hospitalized, and committed to a mental institution because of my suicidal inclinations. When I was released, I continued pursuing the same activities. I did all I could to escape reality. I was running from myself...running from my past...and without knowing it at the time, running straight into the hands of God! I now realize the Lord was setting up all the roadblocks, detours, and dead-ends in my life, leading me through a seemingly hopeless maze into a direct confrontation with His Son, Jesus Christ! Hebrews 1:14 declares that God sends His angels to render service to "those who will inherit salvation." He was surely doing that in my tangled life. One night, while alone in my room, I could run no longer. I reached out to the Lord and cried in desperation for Him to save me from a life misspent. He heard my plea and miraculously and instantly transformed me. I will never be the same.
