The Only Amish On-Line

Brother Amos,
I read your column on the Digital Wagon Path Website and would like to ask you a question concerning relationships. My in-laws seem to be a little unfriendly towards me when my wife and I visit them. I have been married now for six months and don't quite know how to handle this situation. What can I do to win them over?

Dear Concerned,
The best thing you can do in a situation like that is to build them a barn.

  1. Currently it appears like Movable Type is the best blogging platform out
there right now. (from what I've read) Is that what you're using
    on your blog?

Check out my homepage - diets that work
my webpage - diets that work for women

    1. spam-man strikes again :-(

Eddie put a grenade under him :-)

    2. Deleting the spammer will automatically remove all replies, so I will keep this one up because of your reply. Lately, I have removed so many spams I'm thinking of starting a blog, "For Spammers Only". It might get more hits, members and comments than CC and Facets of Grace combined.

    3. I don't mind being deleted :-)

      Can you exclude "Anonymous" comments?

    4. Thanks FCC for being willing to be deleted. Since comments on CC have rapidly decreased, I will keep these up. Next time - I'm putting a grenade under spam!

  2. I feel your pain, as you know.
So what I want to know is, if you build them a barn, and they continue having children, does it do away with the favorite parental comment: "What's wrong with you, were you born in a barn??"

    1. Yes, Scott. It's actually the reason that tradition began.
