Kindle Book Good and Cheap

I have to admit I am only a third of the way through this book, but it is packed with plenty of facts AND entertainingly written. He are a few quotes from the book:

"The only mindset that can possibly justify agnosticism, as the word suggests, is one of ignorance. Dogs are agnostic. Humans merely pretend to be."

"...the new atheist league of extraordinary clowns have endorsed: Faith must die. How very odd. Even more so when one considers that their illustrious scientific predecessors never shared that sentiment. Einstein certainly didn't."

"What few people realize is that scientism is not itself a science, but a philosophy..."

"Arrogance is a virus: the symptom is a state of intellectual paralysis, denying its host access to the realms of truth."

"Is God an extraordinary claim? Yes; an extraordinary and eternally extraordinary claim. But then again the universe is also an extraordinary place, so one would expect the explanation for how it got here to be quite extraordinary."

  4. Sounds like an interesting book. I watched a documentary on spiders a few days ago and was amused whenever the narrator mentioned eeevolution (pronounced with a long 3) in one sentence only to mention how brilliantly spiders were designed in the next. We're creatures and we can't help but speak as creatures.
