Patchwork Arminian Challenge

Name the 5 Arminians who make up this composite.
I'll post the photo answers when someone gets it right.

  1. That outer fringe (5) can only be from Finney, and I'm guessing those beauuuutiful Pearly Whites belong to Joel Osteen (although really his religion doesn't have enough content to really be called Arminian (or Christian))

I tried to look up photos of Roger Olson and John Wesley to see if any of their parts match, but I don't think so.

  2. Ooh, and I just realized the left eye must be Billy Graham!

  3. I'll exercise my free will and say 1-looks like it could be Jacob Arminius himself(?), 2-definitely looks like Billy Graham, 3-could be Jerry Falwell, I'll take a cue from "Confessional" and say 4 is Joel Osteen, and 5-has to be Charles Finney.

  5. I got it, I got it! He's the lead character in that classic horror flick, 'Arminian Werewolf in London'.

  6. You should have a warning label. This is a Calvinist's nightmare!

The teeth are definitely Smiling Joel's.

  9. Is this a GEICO commercial? That guy bears quite a resemblance to one of the offended cavemen.

But it's RANDAL RAUSER by a nose!

  10. Nay, 'tis not poor Randal.

    Guesseth againeth.

  11. Looks a bit like Tim LaHaye, but maybe more like Frank Turek?

  12. Actually the nose kinda resembles "Jacob" from Lost. The other Jacob Arminius? LOL

  13. That last guess was very clever...but, still...no prize.

  14. I googled "famous arminian noses" but the only return I got was something about statues in Armenia.

Can't wait to find out the answer!

  15. John Wesley by a nose? I checked pictures and I don't think so, but I just want to rule it out...

  18. Ding ding ding.

    Anonymous wins!

    It is Robert Schuller's nose!

I am writing this from my iPod so you will all have to wait until I get home to post the photos.

    Thanks to everyone who participated.

  23. The composite looks like something that Strong Bad might have created. ; )

  24. Charles Finny looks bad enough but the mash up is going to give me nightmares. No wonder Finny never smiled.

  25. This was a tough one. I must say that the combination here looks perfectly Grinch-like.

  26. Look's almost as freaky as Arminian theology itself.

  27. Doesn't anyone think this is the scariest thing they've ever seen? Maybe Sacred Sandwich needs to feature this one as a "scary halloween costume for christians" post...
