Even though this post originally appeared in the Warminian Weekly, I will allow Nigel Pettibone to respond to any comments made about his column. Warning: expect to be insulted. - Eddie

  1. By the tone of your comment, I figure you're a Calvinist (always questioning good solid opinions) and that you're probably meaner than a skillet full of rattlesnakes.
Most Calvinists are this way because they are overdrawn at the memory bank.

  3. You're right, Mr. Pettibone. I'm a Calvinist, but I'm not mean for the reason you say. I was raised on the Island of Parris and you better believe the last two lines of the song: "If the Army and the Navy ever look on Heaven's scene, They would find the streets are guarded by United States Marines." We've got a Semper Fidelis to tie that Solo Fide to the Perseverance of the Saints.

  4. You must have been vaccinated with a Victrola needle! You speak ten words a second, with gusts to fifty. What did you do with the money your mama gave you for theological training? Anytime you happen to pass my house, I’d sure appreciate it.

  5. And Jim....
as a Marine I'll salute you.
as a Calvinist I'll dispute you.
    Over and out!

  6. Calvinist who "run for the hills" do need help, or perhaps, just more study of the scriptures. Calvinist stand at the top of the hill when it comes to theology and that is because God makes us stand. We (human beings) are nothing on our own! Sola Deo Gloria!

  7. Mr. Anonymous, it was mighty brave of you to speak out like you did. I agree that Calvinists stand on the top of the hill...a MOLEHILL! We Arminians stand on the MOUNTAIN TOP! And a Sola Bootstrapa to you, too.
