After much research I've discovered that Glutious Maximus was coordinator of gladiatorial events and executing Christians in the flavian amphitheater (colliseum). He was executed by the one armed Emperor Nemo. in the late First Century AD. Nemo had imported several rare and ferocious Bengal tigers for his "games" unfortunately his handwriting was bad and Maximus misunderstood the directions from Nemo. Maximus was executed shortly after throwing Christians to the beagles.
That's because those seats didn't have cushions.
