New Holiday Declared

10 comments:

  1. Of course, this holiday shouldn't be for Arminians only! We Calvinists believe John 3:16 as well...fact is, we take the whole chapter in context.

Crazy days we live in, brothers and sisters.

  2. And of course, the day has to be declared by someone since it clearly wasn't "chosen"!

  3. John 3:16 is one of the great Calvinistic verses.

I mean what is Calvinism if not T.U.L.I.P.?

And what is T.U.L.I.P., if not the letters that represent the Doctrines of Grace?

And what are the Doctrines of Grace, if not an outline of the the Canons of Dort?

And what is Article 2 of the First Head of Doctrine of Canons of Dort? The very language of scripture, viz. 1 John 4:9 and John 3:16.

    See for yourself:

"But in this the love of God was manifested, that He 'sent His only begotten Son into the world, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life'."

  4. But Spurgeon said it best. "Calvinism is a nickname for Biblical Christianity."

  6. Does this mean we get the whole month of September?

  7. I don't get the September reference. Would someone explain?

  8. March 16 - 3/16 - John 3:16
    September - 9 - Romans 9

  9. Not fair, not fair. 90% of the world doesn't have a day dated 3/16 because there are not 16 months in the year.

(Q: Why did God predestine the US to write the date different from everyone else?)
