Ha! A few years ago we had a guest in our home--a man who has written a number of interesting books in apologetics. He was talking about his recent speaking engagements and referred to the "pastor" of a recent church at which he had spoken as "she." My husband and I are both strongly opposed to women's ordination, but it wasn't the time to get into a debate about that with our guest, who evidently was taking speaking invitations wherever he could get them. So we didn't comment on it. I was joking with my husband later that the difference between us old ones and the next generation was that our college-age daughter, would not have been able to keep a straight face or hide her negative reaction when he said it.
Eddie, just for you, I put up a meme using a pic of John Piper. You're going to enjoy this. It's pertinent to women's ordination (and to a lot of other things, too).

ReplyDeleteI'm with you!
ReplyDeleteThank you both for your comments. I sometimes wish Blogger had a "like" button like Facebook.
