To be sure, I know mega-churches that program theologically rich music and small churches that buy into the more vapid stuff. There are also old hymns that are theologically lacking and some new songs that would make Calvin proud. But too much of the new stuff is just pop music with a few churchy-sounding words thrown in for fun.
