There are so many blogger challenges out there just waiting for you to take 'em on. I guess the most popular is the A to Z Blogging Challenge. Many have taken the invitation to use the alphabet and get creative. I am enjoying reading many of them!
I couldn't take up the dare because my Calvinistic Cartoons format has it's own odd pattern with it's regular features and, of course, my blog is pre-scheduled in advance. But, I finally came across one that is both stimulating and demanding...one that I think I can do:
This is not for everyone, mind you. It's better if you are up in years and not eighteen like some of my readers.
Not sure how I should take that... :-) But hey, keep going! I'll keep reading till you keel over! Then, you have to have someone else take over...CC can't just die.
ReplyDeleteYou take the challenge, I'll read the posts. :)
ReplyDeleteI don't know, making the alphabet conform to Reformed theology would be interesting. But hey, I like your challenge better!
ReplyDeleteI am afraid I will pass on this challenge. I love the A-Z Challenge and this is my second year. But I don't want to drop until the Lord has squeezed every last drop out of me for His glory and service.
ReplyDeleteTo Michael Wright: I have enjoyed making the Doctrines of Grace and the Sovereignty of God conform to the alpha-bet for the part. A couple of times I threw in some off beat humor and personal stuff.

I like the blogger badge at the bottom:
ReplyDelete"Just bury me with my keyboard."
Hahaha!
@Gregg: That should be fun. At least with "D" you can go with "Doctrines of Grace"
ReplyDeleteAnd "M" is for "Monergism!"
@Gregg: Just looked at your blog and I see what you're doing. I like it a lot.
ReplyDeleteGlad your blogs are regular, Eddie. Mine have been irregular for quite some time now. Know of a cure? Maybe Corky does! Ha.
ReplyDelete@ Michael - thanks for stopping by and thanks for your assessment!

Some people push up daisies. I wonder if Eddie will push up TULIPS? (Not that I want to get rid of you or anything, just sayin'...)
ReplyDeleteKevin, I am not sure I could do the kind of blog you do. For me, comedy is easy compared to the many good writers out there blogging away on theological themes. The A to Z challenge would be fun, but again, if I tried to force it into my blog, it might upset the universe and hurl me back into the 1660's when the fashion for men was powdered wigs and decorative exuberance in the form of coat, waistcoat and breeches!
ReplyDeleteSign me up, I'll take that challenge! LOL Although I think some of my readers would like me to drop dead sooner than later. Someone posted a comment to my blog this morning - A chain is only as strong as its weakest link. I'm pretty sure they were referring to me as the weak link. Then they deleted it not realizing it had already been sent to my email account. That's OK, I've been called worse.
ReplyDeleteI'd like to try a modified version of the challenge:
ReplyDeleteBlog until your hair falls out.
After being stressed and distracted for a few months, I decided to take up the A to Z challenge to get me back in the game. It has been good but it has also been grueling.
ReplyDeleteYour challenge sounds intriguing. Since I am working on an "early exit plan" I'm thinking about taking it up to help move things on a bit.
@THEOparadox: Bwhahahahaha!
ReplyDeleteIf people would prefer to keep their hair and their lives, I recommend the "Blog Until Your Fingers Drop Off and Your Eyeballs Dry Out". Failing that... just forget doing a challenge altogether. :)
You could try the easier, less demanding challenge - Blog until you don't.
ReplyDelete@Ralph: Hahaha! That sounds like a good idea.
ReplyDeleteSo if eighteen is underaged, I have no idea what I’m going to do…….but wait, I don’t have a blog.
ReplyDelete( guess my age isn’t really a secret since it’s posted for the world to see on my site.)
Oh, good the Top 40 is back to normal. Was I the only one who noticed the impostors yesterday?
@Brother Eddie: "...it might upset the universe and hurl me back into the 1660's when the fashion for men was powdered wigs and decorative exuberance in the form of coat, waistcoat and breeches!"
ReplyDeleteGah! They had those horrible capris...
I'll blog as much as God wants me to. Due to my strange eschatology (see my "About Me" page), I don't believe I'm going to die (at least, not of natural causes), so that would be difficult. ;-)
@CG: I couldn't see it yesterday, but I did see the Comment Tater comment.
ReplyDeleteI'm with Ink Slinger, think I'll wait till my fingers fall off.
