Mr. Orange gets Roasted
This photo, sent in by Neo Sporin of Nome, Alaska, brings back a flood of memories. Here you see the late, great Peter Falk jokingly revealing many secrets about Mr. Orange. This was a Dean Martin sponsored roast and the other guests who got their turn in ribbing Mr. Orange were: Morgan Freeman, Soupy Sales, Al Pacino and his brother Cap Pacino, Sally Field, Don Knotts, Danny Kaye and Morey Amsterdam. What a day that was! I'm still laughing!

Religious Ties & Cross Purposes #2
This new series is a lot like "Who Am I?". Each personality claims to be a believer. I ain't sayin' they is or they isn't. I am just presenting some interesting facts about these individuals. You'll learn a little and you can always pray for these celebrities. (They need prayer - every one of them) I will post the un-Photoshopped photo when someone guesses their name. Here are the clues:
Dennis Weaver and I have something in common.
I have been featured in Christianity Today.
I am an active Church member and son of a Pentecostal preacher.
I had an uncredited role in the 1974 movie Death Wish as an alley mugger.
Much Ado About Nothing.
Who Got a Small Part in the movie Inception?

Skyfall Poster and Picture
In Corky's latest adventure, Arminian agents from G.N.A.S.H. try to capture Corky (Agent Double O Nothin') and brainwash him into becoming a docile man in a Jellyfish costume. G.N.A.S.H. is such a secret organization that no ones knows what the initials stand for. Anyone out there want to give it a guess?

Scoop Behind the Original Prisoner TV Series
In the original pilot episode (never shown on TV) there were TWO secret agents who quit the organization. After resigning, both are abducted and taken to what looks like an idyllic village, but is really a bizarre prison. Their warders demand information. They give them nothing, but only tries to escape.
In the photo below, we see Agent Orange (played by Mr. Orange) and the other, Agent John Drake (Patrick McGoohan) speeding down the road in the opening sequence.

Mr. Orange had to drop out of filming after the first two weeks because his wife was pregnant (she was as big as a grapefruit) and having complications. Mr. Orange went on to star in the TV movie, How Orange Was My Valley.

A Friend Died
I just found out that my friend, Mike Ross, died. I used to see him every year when I attended the Christian Booksellers Convention. Bob (his father) and Mike were always there with the Pilgrim Publications booth, smiling and introducing many to the great Spurgeon books they published. Mike was a joy to be around. His exuberance and love for life was uplifting. He reminded me of a combination of Charles Spurgeon and Hoss Cartwright. He is worshiping the Lord Jesus Christ face to face now...and I know he has probably run into Spurgeon by now.
MICHAEL ROSS (1963-2012) OF PILGRIM PUBLICATIONS AND
PILGRIM BOOK STORE GOES TO BE WITH THE LORD (09-05-2012)
By Mike's Father, Bob L. Ross
In one of my Bibles, my son Michael had long ago written these few words when he was between 8 and 9 years old::
"Michael Ross
John 3:16
Jan. 8, 1972)"
Right beside those words, I later wrote the following:
"Michael confessed faith in Christ as Saviour on Nov. 25, 1973.
I had preached on Abraham's faith."
Michael was 10 years old.
He had his 49nth birthday on Wednesday, August 29, 2012.
For most of his 49 years, even from an early age, Michael was enthusiastically devoted to working in the publication and distribution of C. H. Spurgeon's sermons and other books. You can no doubt find Mike' fingerprints on Spurgeon's sermons and publications perhaps all over the world where he has shipped book orders.
Funeral services are currently being planned for Saturday morning at First Baptist Church, Fairmont Parkway at Red Bluff Road, Pasadena, Texas.
Michael sent regular offerings from Pilgirm Publications to support Missionary
Daniel Shanks in the West Indies and Missionary Allan Roman in Mexico.

Just Comment
Yes, if I could just get Randy Towin to comment, it would make my day. Randy has borrowed more of my books than any other living human being. Thirty-seven last count. The fact that Randy has never returned any may be the reason he isn't writing. Don't let guilt keep you from commenting! Just sit down in front of your computer and comment Towin!

The Codger Who Came in from the Cold
Nigel Pettibone had wandered far. He had lost his way without realizing it. The cold, howling winds and the freezing temperature made him long for his comfortable home within the gated Arminian Oaks community in Calabasas. This photo was taken just before Nigel's rescue. He was treated for hyperthermia, given a nice warm meal and then he slept solidly for the next twelve hours.

I have ties with Zondervan and the Book of Revelation
Robin Williams, Frank Sinatra and Moe Howard have been a big influence in my career.
I sang in the Broadway musical, Les Misérables.
My first language is Greek. I go to a church whose liturgy is traditionally conducted in Koine Greek, the original language of the New Testament.

Another Nigel Pettibone Mystery
According to the hand written message on the back of this photo, which arrived in the Calvinistic Cartoons offices earlier today, Nigel Pettibone has been accidentally transported back into the past. We don't know what's going on.
The photographer signed his name E. Loy Murlocks and promises to bring Nigel back to the present time within the next twenty years.

Mr. Orange
This is quirky and dumber than a pinto bean in a box of Jelly Bellys, but I was experimenting with my new iPad and came up with this video...don't hate on me, peoples.
