One of the books I am reading on my Kindle, at the present, is Tactics by Gregory Koukl. According to my Kindle, I am only 33% through the book. But, I have to inform you that this is a must read for all you Calvinists whose "Good Cop - Bad Cop" methods of communicating the truth have ended in failure. Greg will transform your thinking - Colombo style. Here are two reviews that should convince you: Apologetics 315 review and the Tim Challies review. Do yourself a big favor and order this book! You'll thank me for it...oh, and just one more thing... you wouldn't happen to know where I left my Kindle would you?
Colombo reminds me of RC Sproul. Or is it the other way round?
ReplyDeleteI met R.C. Sproul at a book signing and said the same thing to him. He laughed and told me the time he dressed like Colombo for a costume party he attended. (true story)
DeleteNo kiddin'? - Oh Wow!
DeleteHey there's a church in my area that is offering a free lecture series from Greg Koukl and others from Stand To Reason. I realize Q8 is pretty far away, but if anybody is in the San Diego area, here's the info
ReplyDeleteWow! And it's all FREE! Man, it's times like this I wish I were back in the States.
Delete...oh yeah, I almost forgot...this book wil also help you to solve murders.
ReplyDeleteIs this based upon presuppositional apologetics? I rather stay with the Van Til/Bahnsen style myself.
ReplyDeleteThis is not an ordinary apologetics book. It presents simple, practical techniques and strategies for conversing about Christian faith that anybody could apply. It is a way of listening, asking the right questions and staying in control of the conversation.
