Brother Amos,
I read your column on the Digital Wagon Path Website and would like to ask you a question concerning relationships. My in-laws seem to be a little unfriendly towards me when my wife and I visit them. I have been married now for six months and don't quite know how to handle this situation. What can I do to win them over?
Concerned
Dear Concerned,
The best thing you can do in a situation like that is to build them a barn.
Currently it appears like Movable Type is the best blogging platform out

spam-man strikes again :-(
DeleteEddie put a grenade under him :-)
Deleting the spammer will automatically remove all replies, so I will keep this one up because of your reply. Lately, I have removed so many spams I'm thinking of starting a blog, "For Spammers Only". It might get more hits, members and comments than CC and Facets of Grace combined.
DeleteI don't mind being deleted :-)
DeleteCan you exclude "Anonymous" comments?
Thanks FCC for being willing to be deleted. Since comments on CC have rapidly decreased, I will keep these up. Next time - I'm putting a grenade under spam!
DeleteI feel your pain, as you know.
ReplyDeleteSo what I want to know is, if you build them a barn, and they continue having children, does it do away with the favorite parental comment: "What's wrong with you, were you born in a barn??"
Yes, Scott. It's actually the reason that tradition began.
