    While Middle Easterners and the people in the UAE pronounce it, "Do-BAY".

  8. The way we pronounce wind and wind depends on the context. Pronounce one wrong and Ms Grammar will always correct you. I can't believe she is still teaching!

  10. My last name is pronounced ED-dings not EE-dings. There is only one way to pronounce it correctly.

    Most people have difficulty with the silent e in Whitefield than the one in Augustine. (Place smiley face here)

  11. Whitefield vs Whit-field also confuses me but I imagined the correct pronunciation was an Old or Middle English remnant.
