Election has a clearer attestation than the Trinity and makes more sense, but we don't dismiss the doctrine of the Trinity, which is taught, if not all at once, and we conform to Scripture rather than making Scripture conform to our flawed thinking.
Matthew 24: 22-24 (also Mark 13:20-27), Luke 18:7, Romans 8:33; 9 (all of it); 11:28, 2 Peter 1:3-11 and more! But it's totally not a biblical idea...
