The universe is infinite in space and time - there was no "beginning" and there will be no "end." All other versions are simply man's attempt at making that infinity more relatable. All of man's accounts of the beginning of the universe (Egyptian, Norse, Roman, Greek, Polynesian, Native American, biblical) are the same - from nothing, something. Only the names and a few of the details have been changed.
First of all, thanks Tree for logging in. How could you possible know that the universe had no beginning or that it has no end? That's not science. That's wishful thinking. Evidence seems to indicate that the universe is expanding from one single point of origin. Nothing times nothing equals nothing no matter how many times you multiply it. In a materialistic universe that is totally impossible. Only God can create out of nothing. And behind that "nothing" is the omni-intelligence of an an all powerful Creator.
What an immoral picture! I have no objective standard by which to judge morality, or anything else for that matter, but I feel it in my heart! Whatever my heart is, I have no objective definition for that, either...Or anything...Including my existence...
Scientism is a dead-end in more ways than one!

ReplyDeleteWhy is the atheistic universe box closed and sealed and the Theist box open and...wait...now I get it.
