A Gift for the Future from the Past
Yahoo! My time-travel gun arrived this morning from 1898. Nikola Tesla sent this by way of Corky Velveeta. This handy-dandy pistola will take the trigger man and the one "shot" into the past or future together. You can also "shoot" an object and it comes along for the ride. Can't wait to get started. Well, I'm back from 1898 to thank Mr. Tesla personally. He was busy but found time for a cup of Folger's Breakfast Blend and a cinnamon roll.

The Twilight Zone S03 E24 To Serve Man
One of my top ten Twilight Zone episodes. Think of this as an analogy of heresies and heterodoxy entering the Church. Wolves in sheep's clothing, indeed.

Just Yesterday
President Ilham Aliyev and Tomislav Nikolic unveiled the monument and put flowers on it. First Lady of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva and Serbian First Lady Dragica Nikolic also laid flowers at the monument. Eddie Eddings and Corky Velveeta of Calvinistic Cartoons also attended the event.
The monument commemorating Nikola Tesla stands in one of the central parks of Baku, at the crossroads on the corner of Azadliq Avenue and Suleyman Rahimov Street. The authors of the 3,3-meter monument are renowned Azerbaijani sculptor Omar Eldarov and architect Sanan Salamzadeh. The monument is made of bronze and represents Nikola Tesla against the background of one of his inventions.
After the ceremony President Aliyev and President Nikolic asked for Corky's autograph and asked to be taken to the year 1898 for some reason.

FREE BOOK!
I'll be honest--the only reason I gave this book a look is that it is published by New Growth Press. If I didn't have a good bit of trust for the publisher, I probably wouldn't have gotten past the title. I guess the publisher pretty much says it all here: "Personal crises and disappointments have led many to the pessimistic conclusion that `my life sucks.' Underneath the contemporary slang are universal and timeless questions about the human condition. People of every age, in every kind of circumstance have wondered to themselves and others: Will my life ever be better than this? Is this as good as it gets? This book is an honest and compassionate look at the real struggles we face in a broken world where bad things do happen. Ramon Presson, a marriage and family counselor, describes his own significant personal struggles, including hospitalization for depression. Using the letter that Paul wrote to the Philippians from prison, Presson shares that hope and joy are possible even when life disappoints. Full of practical suggestions for how you can live with purpose and meaning right in the middle of your everyday struggles, When Will My Life Not Suck? is a hopeful treatment of human suffering from someone who has personally lived it and counseled others through the wilderness." Hopeful biblical treatments of human suffering is a busy field in Christian publishing but it seems that this one brings something to the table in its urgency and practicality.
