According to your Live Traffic Feed I'm from Huntsville, Alabama, but really I'm from somewhere near Los Angeles, California. Recent good nonfiction book I've read is Evolution Is Stupid by John P Verderame. Otherwise, I'm mainly a fiction reader.
As for a book, howza 'bout Combat Conditioning: Jiu-Jitsu, by the Gordy Publishing Company? It's public domain, and I gots a nice PDF right here: http://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/2297808/Safeism%20files/CombatConditioning.pdf
Live feed says I'm from Mabank Tx. That's where I grew up but acutally live in Ben Wheeler in East Texas home of the feral hog festival each October. 'The End Times Made Simple' by Sam Waldron is excellent.
Following daily from Scranton, PA, and passing some along to other pastor friends with appreciation. One book many may have missed over the years that is filled with rich blessings is Geerhardus Vos, Grace and Glory: Sermons Preached in the Chapel of Princeton Theological Seminary, with Introduction by R. Scott Clark (Vestavia Hills, AL: Solid Ground Christian Books, n.d.; from 1922 ed. by The Reformed Press, Grand Rapids), on Solid Ground Christian Books at solid-ground-books.com/detail_829.asp [accessed 9 FEB 2014]. The price here appears to be the best - $6 & shipping.
Poway, CA ("The City in the Country", a suburb of San Diego).
I would recommend you and a muslim friend or neighbor get together to read: Reading Scripture Together: A Comparative Qur'an and Bible Study Guide. This was written by my aunt, and 'published' to Amazon by me (I also GIMP'd up the cover). If you wait a week or so, you will also be able to buy it for Kindle at a lower price (TBD).
Other than the word of God, the book I would recommend, well two books... The Gospel according to Jesus by MacArthur and The Holiness of God by Sproul which both of them just rocked my world!
The traffic feed says I'm in Claremore, OK but I'm actually located in Bartlesville, OK. Advice to Sufferers by John Bunyan is good. I also recommend The Orphans and the Ravens by Julia Visky, this book was out of print but it looks like Reformation Heritage books has re-released it. Yipee!

I’m from the United States, and I recommend The Jesus You Can’t Ignore by John MacArthur.
ReplyDeleteI'm from Hendersonville, North Cackalacky. I recommend the book of Romans by the Apostle Paul. It's a pretty good read.

ReplyDeleteKalamazoo, Michigan. I recommend _Witness_, by Whittaker Chambers. (No, he wasn't a Calvinist. :-) But everyone should read the book.)

ReplyDeleteAnd I am still in Salmiya, Kuwait...every year we say it's our last. When we DO move back, it will, more than likely be Dallas, Texas.
