The Metropolitan Tabernacle is on Elephant and Castle (Londoners never refer to it as Castle and Elephant). So wouldn't it make more sense to have the elephant on top of a castle?
Corky was excited about being in London. It was his seven hundred and thirty second visit to the Tabernacle.
This is the inside of the Tabernacle. A man by the name of Andy Jones politely kept visitors from entering the church building because Sunday School was being taught in almost every room. After striking up a friendship, and convincing him how much Spurgeon meant to me, he had his son unlock the doors for me. (God's mercy)
This is the pulpit in the Metropolitan Tabernacle with a very thankful Texan behind it. (God's grace)
Love it. This is absolutely on my "bucket list." I know we shouldn't venerate places, buildings, etc.; and this isn't even "Spurgeon's Tabernacle" (due to fires, etc), but still...
