……Hello folks, this is the Top 40 Comment Tater Radio show, broadcasting live from the Pacific Northwest. It seems that the race has been hijacked by some mysterious figures who have never even visited our beloved blog, let alone commented- Folks, every single one of our genuine contestants have been swept off the track completely, and are nowhere in sight! The frightening thing is, folks, that the names that now appear on our scoreboard are not latin names, as yours truly suspected at first. Folks…..*sigh* this is no prank pulled by our noble D.“E.”Eddings. the race is being led by someone called Aneesh, a native American from Indiana, who from what I can tell is certainly not a Calvinist. Nevertheless, he has a whopping 112 points to his name. Second place is held by TUTSVNN.TK who holds 12 to their name. Folks, it looks like the whole race is held by blogging widget staff or individuals who are somehow affiliated with computer programming. Sorry for the confusion, folks. As our benevolent sponsor said, (at least I think it was he who said it), it demonstrates the depravity of man. And personally, I don’t think the race could be more fallen than its current state! @Mr. Wirght: Yes, I've seen that interview. I like Mr. Friel a lot.....and it's a given that Mr. Washer is one of my favorite speakers. :) Him and Tim Conway are my favorites right now.
@CG - I've always liked DW. He was my hero back when I was Pentecostal and decidedly not Reformed, but also not into excessive craziness (a little was OK).
I'll be teaching a Sunday School class in two weeks dealing with I Cor. 14 and trying to make a case that there are ways for Reformed charismatics and doctrinally conservative cessationists to coexist, worship together, and agree on most of the practices if not the terminology.
I'll also be using a can of alphabet soup to illustrate the gift of tongues and interpretation. Should be very exciting.
Oh boy, would I like to be there for that! :D I have mentioned before that my hobby is studying the Charismatic movement (I know, strange hobby), and I agree with you...David Wilkerson is pretty on top of many issues. From what I have read from him, he's pretty Biblical. But I certainly don't know about the rest of his theology.....but I agree with him in that video! :D
Of course Reformed Charismatics and cessationists can coexist! My hero is Reformed Charismatic after all. :) (he's not Mr. W., though). He's why I like Charismatic theology. Extremely Biblical guy, even if I disagree with the continuationist/cessationist issue.
@CG: Paul Washer is actually me and a good friend of mine's favorite preachers. He and Leonard Ravenhill, (both fiery!) I like John MacArthur a lot. Been listening to some sermons of his on Romans 8:28 (he has five or six of them!) I don't know too much about Tim Conway, all of his videos on Illbehonest are pretty good so far though. Do you have a sermon recommendation?

CG, yes I heard about Wilkerson's death. Quite a shock. In my younger days I listened to hours and hours of his preaching with much benefit. He helped to keep me clear of the errors of hyper-faith and the prosperity Gospel, and also got me interested in reading the Puritans. He spoke at the baccalaureate service when I graduated from college - on a familiar text: Romans 8:29!
