Just for Laughs! #23

Someone once said that a library is a room for improvement.
That is very true. But it can also be
raw material for mirth and merriment.
So add some humor to this otherwise, humorless photo.
Just as in God's Book of Predestination - it is bound to happen.

  1. A never before seen photo of the legendary L-team, a highly trained band of doctrinally sound librarians known only by their code names Agnes, Betty, and Doris. These theological moles infiltrate the hallowed halls of liberal religious institutions subsituting unsound books with the Bible and the Puritans. Though hunted far and wide, these intrepid ladies were never caught, always leaving a trail of mayhem, confusion, and conviction.

Tonight's mission: Replace the contents of "The Openness of God" with "The Mystery of Providence".

  2. So, anyway the band took their name from the 1971 film They Might Be Giants starring George C. Scott and Joanne Woodward, which is in turn taken from a Don Quixote passage about how Quixote believes windmills to be evil giants and...Oh Helen! I...I'm sorry...I didn't see you standing there. We were just ...anyway.

  3. LIBRARIAN HUMOR

Ellen thought it would be "great fun" to place an urn of ashes next to Memoirs and Remains of Robert Murray M'Cheynne.

  4. Members of the Grey Sweaters Gang had sneaked into the library after hours and were placing copies of Against Calvinism on every shelf.
