Caption Contest #17

Here's is a photo I think will bring some serious laughter...that is, after YOU provide the caption. Please remember what Charles T. Spurgeon (no relation to Charles H. Spurgeon) once said, "Laughter can help you climb a mountain, and if you fall, it can help make the trip down a lot more enjoyable."

The winner of this contest will be announced on May 30th

  2. Only after a failed first attempt to follow Rick Warren did Harry Hopenhofer, who was known to be a little hard of hearing, realize that the term he had heard at a conference at Saddleback Church was purpose driven not circus driven.

  4. Being able to buy the sacred relics was just a bonus, most of the open theists came to watch the hot preacher babe.

  5. When Mr. Bentley took his mop-headed young son to the front row of the traveling miracle and snake oil show, he had no idea that one day, little Toddie would take center stage in a freak show of his own.

  6. "Simply drink this here fine tonic and you can keep your salvation, forbear and it may just go as quickly as it has come!"
In a crowd of Arminians these snake oil bottles practically sold themselves.

  7. This photo confrims that if John the Baptist came back today, Fundamentalist would make him preach outside the church building. However if he would trade his animal skins for a three piece suit and tie, he could stand in the pulpit.

  8. Then it finally dawned on little Johnny that if it was silly to think that one could attain right standing with God simply by drinking Dr. Pollard's "Salvation in a Bottle". Then wasn't it really just as silly to think that one would be able to do so by simply repeating a prayer or any other form of man made effort?

  9. Tim LaHaye's great grandfather was actually the very first to attempt a theatrical presentation of the dispensational eschatology that is so wildly popular today. However, as history would eventually prove out, Vaudeville was simply a poor medium for this type of thing.
